You no doubt have heard of Feng Shui. Well, make room for Funky Shui. That's the title of a new book by sisters Jennifer and Kitty O'Neil, who clearly want do-it-yourself decorators to have a good time. "If Feng Shui is the art of arranging objects to promote harmony, then Funky Shui is the art of arranging objects to make your home and life fun," they write in "Decorating with Funky Shui: How to Lighten Up, Loosen Up and Have Fun Decorating Your Home" (Andrews McMeelPublishing, $14.95). Suggestions include:
• Buy a cardboard cutout of your favorite movie star and display it.
• Decorate an ordinary grandfather clock with rhinestones.
• Frame child's artwork and show it off on an easel.
• Liberate your inner Liberace with candelabras on the piano.
• Cover the table with butcher paper and release the Crayola 64-pack to dinner guests.
You get the picture.
