You Will Need
- 2 sheets double-sided adhesive film, 9" x 12"
Directions
Step 1
Hot glue the junk drawer treasures to the lid of the cigar box. Trim the leftover hot glue strings with scissors.
Step 2
Spray paint the outside of the cigar box with the antique gold spray paint. Be sure to cover the treasures completely and from all angles.
Step 3
To line the box, measure the inside bottom and four sides of the cigar box and cut the adhesive sheets to fit. (Do not remove the adhesive backings yet.)
Step 4
Remove one side of the backing from each adhesive sheet and stick to the back of the velvet. Cut out the adhesive-backed velvet pieces with scissors.
Step 5
One at a time, remove the backing from each piece of velvet and stick to the inside of the box.
No Strings Attached: To make quick work of removing the hot glue strings, get out your trusty tweezers and start plucking.

Treasure Chest
If your junk drawer is junk free, raid the kids’ toy chest. With a touch of spray paint, you can turn mismatched Barbie shoes and loose LEGOs into decorating gold.
